For us, barbecuing is not just a way of preparing food over a fire. For us, it's a way of life! We love the best meat, tasty fish and, above all, preparing atypical barbecue items – there's really nothing we can't do on our barbecues. Regardless of the time of year, we can't think of anything better than standing in the open air with a delicious drink in our hands at the barbecue, smoker, OFYR or Beefer.
We are Mario Nießen, master butcher and head griller for 30 years, Alexander Zimmer, who has loved to sit and eat by the fire since the days of stick bread, Joanna Lachnit, our specialist for wines and sweet desserts, and Jason Sych, our Canadian newcomer whose creativity knows no bounds. That's why we opened our grill academy in the Kutscherhaus in 2012, with a view of the Marienburg castle in Monheim and an absolutely unique ambience. We have also been pursuing a special passion since 2015: we are in search of the best steak in the world and dry-age various cuts of beef ourselves in our own dry-ager.
